Using 8-12lb Braid or 10lb mono with light leaders coupled with jig and j-hooks is one of the best ways to apprehending a bone fish off a kayak. They can be sight casted with baits and jig or if your want a challenge with a fly rod which make them fun for any level of kayak fisherman abound.
